SEI Flow
On blockchain networks, the native token - SEI on the Sei Network is the primary currency used for essential operations like paying transaction fees.
Wrapped tokens are ERC-20 compatible versions of these native tokens. They exist to improve interoperability with decentralized applications. The native token and its wrapped version are always interchangeable at a 1:1 ratio, allowing you to “wrap” or “unwrap” as needed.
Carina offers two options for you who want to swap native token SEI:
Wrap Before Swapping. Convert SEI into its wrapped version (e.g., WSEI), then swap WSEI gaslessly on Carina.
Use SEI Flow.
Wrap Native Token before Swapping:
Instead of wrapping before swapping adds an extra step, these are severals advatages that you'll have:
ERC-20 Compatibility: Enables native tokens (e.g., SEI) to work with Carina’s smart contracts and architecture.
Gasless Swaps: you don't have to pay gas fees directly; solvers cover network costs.
Simplified UX: Seamless interaction with Carina without manual steps or extra approvals.
Lower Risk of Failed Transactions: Uses ERC-20 approvals to reduce errors and avoid fees from failed swaps.
Carina supports wrapping native tokens by integrating the wrap step directly into its trade flow.

You just need to confirm the wrap transaction in your wallet, and it will be successfully completed. Once is completed, Carina will display by ticking icon and go to next step.

Use SEI - Flow
To make the swapping experience smoother and easier, Carina is introducing SEI Flow - a mechanism that allows you to swap SEI native tokens with just one simple confirmation in your wallet.
With SEI Flow, you only need to send your native SEI directly to Carina. From there, Carina automatically handles the entire process using SEI Flow, including what normally requires two steps (wrap + swap). Everything is bundled into one single action, making the experience cleaner and much more convenient.
Using SEI Flow which helps you gain a number of helpful benefits, such as:
Lower fees: Only one transaction is needed, so you spend less overall.
Simpler experience: Swap SEI in a single step without extra actions.
No WSEI approval required: Send SEI directly, skipping the usual approval process.
SEI Flow makes swapping faster than the usual native token wrapping. Since the transaction happens on-chain, you’ll need to pay a small gas fee in SEI. This fee won’t be refunded if the swap doesn’t go through.
To use the Native Token Flow (SEI - Flow), choosing Native Token (e.g., SEI) on the TokenIn Box on Carina and choose token that you want to receive (e.g., USDC).

Once you’ve chosen your tokens, Carina will ask you to confirm the swap. The whole process happens in a single on-chain transaction so that you have to approve and send SEI token to Carina to create a order.

After signing message, the process will start like ERC-20 tokens flow. Once is completed, Carina will show a pop - up message to notify the status of your transaction (e.g: Transaction Completed)

Also, you can check your order status by clicking on your Wallet Address Account.

Cancel SEI - Flow order
Just like with ERC-20 token transactions, native token orders can also be canceled. However, since these are on-chain transactions, you’ll need to cancel them on-chain. There’s no off-chain option like with regular swaps.
Here’s how you can cancel an on-chain order:
You can click the Cancel button at Step 2 while Carina is processing your order.

Then clicking "Proceed" to cancel your order.

A pop - up message will show up to notify your order status.

Also, you can cancel your order by clicking Cancel button on Wallet Account History.

SEI Refunded
On Carina, if you cancel your order before it has been filled, you’ll get back the exact amount of SEI you intended to swap.
Once you successfully cancel your order, Carina will automatically refund the SEI amount you intended to swap. You can check the returned funds in the SEI Refunded section.

If the order has already been filled, Carina will show a message indicating that the transaction was completed, and you won’t be able to get the SEI back.
