After connecting your wallet, the swap interface will appear as shown:

You can select the tokens you want to swap in the boxes on the right side of both fields (You Pay / You Receive).

Carina displays a list of supported tokens on the SEI network. You can either select from the suggested tokens or search and paste the token address directly in the taskbar.

After selecting the token, enter the amount you want to trade in the box on the left side of the swap box.

After selecting the amount you want to swap, Carina will display the amount you will receive for that transaction along with the current exchange rate below the received amount.

Carina has a mechanism that allows you to send funds and tokens through a custom wallet address. This guide will provide detailed instructions on how to use this feature.
Step 1: Click on Custom Wallet located above the Select Tokens section in the Receive box.

Step 2: Carina will display a box where you can enter the wallet address information.

Step 3: Enter the wallet address where you want to receive your funds and tokens.

Step 4: After confirming the wallet details, click "Confirm Recipient Wallet".

Also, you can see the amount of money that you have on your wallet.

Insufficient Balance Amount
If you enter an amount lower than the balance available in your wallet account, Carina will display the message "Insufficient Balance Amount".

You will need to re-enter the correct amount for the transaction to proceed on Carina.
In the swap box, Carina provides transaction details in the section below the Swap Box, including information such as: "the exchange rate for the tokens you pay/receive, fees, minimum received, and transaction expiration".

These are crucial details in any transaction, so let Carina help you better understand them:
The exchange rate shows how much of one token you will receive in return for the token you are swapping.

Carina calculates this rate based on real-time market data from liquidity sources such as:
Decentralized exchanges (DEXs) connected to the SEI network.
Aggregators that pull prices from multiple pools to give you the best available rate.
On-chain liquidity pools where tokens are traded.
The rate can change slightly due to market volatility or slippage, which is why Carina also shows the "Minimum received" to protect you from big price swings.
Fees are the costs associated with processing your swap transaction. Carina shows these fees transparently so you know exactly what you’re paying.
Carina has two types of fees you should be aware of: transaction fees and network fees.

Currently, Carina does not charge either of these fees because Carina’s solvers cover them for you. Therefore, the system will display ‘Free’ in the fee section of the box.
Minimum Received is the smallest amount of tokens you are guaranteed to get from the swap, even if the market price changes slightly while your transaction is being processed.

Carina uses:
Current exchange rate from SEI liquidity pools.
Slippage tolerance (e.g., 0.5% or 1%) set by you or the system.
Transaction fees.
Transaction Expiration is the time limit for your swap quote to remain valid. When Carina shows you an exchange rate and expected amount, that quote is only guaranteed for a specific period (e.g., 30 minutes).

You can adjust your "Transaction Expiration" on "Setting Box" on the top right corner of SwapBox.

Select amount of time that you want to adjust your transaction.

Confirm Order
Accept Terms of Use and Privacy Policy
Before your first swap, you must check the box to confirm that you agree to Carina’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

By Accepting, This gives Carina permission to use your funds and tokens to create the transaction.
After clicking Confirm Step 2 and Term & Policies agreement, Carina will display all transaction details again for you to review before final confirmation.

Once you have confirmed all details, click Confirm Swap to signal Carina to start processing your trade in Step 4.
Submit Order
There are 4 main steps to complete a transaction on Carina:
